Blinds Control
In office buildings the intelligent control of blinds is very important. It should operate automatically, and take into account sun, wind and rain conditions, as well as the time of the day.
When lowering the blinds it may be necessary to switch on the ceiling lighting or to re-adjust them according to the available sunlight.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the EIB blinds actuator can be installed on-site, either in the cable duct or intermediate ceiling.
Co-ordination of brightness sensors, wind monitors, and switching times will then be performed by Home Manager. |
Daylight-Dependent Lighting Control
In order to work efficiently without getting tired, uniform lighting of the workplace is imperative. The switching/dimming actuators allow you to design and set up room lighting systems which ensure constant lighting.
For this purpose, the light intensity present in a room is monitored by means of sensors. Lighting is then optimised according to the external light available.
In addition, Home Manager allows the configuration of individualised lighting settings which can be activated as required, such as work lighting, central ceiling lighting for presentations, light accurately focussed on a particular point for cleaning and repairs.
The method of simply incorporating actuators into tunnel boxes permits compact and decentralised solutions which can be implemented directly on-site. |
Optimised Heating and Ventilation
In functional buildings, EIB building control systems offer a variety of opportunities for optimising heating power consumption.
Since the various control functions for the building are capable of communicating with each other, it is possible, for example, for heating power to be put to optimum use.
Motion detectors permit selective heating of specific rooms only. If no movement is detected in a room for a pre-defined period of time the radiator actuating drive will immediately reduce heat supply.
Home Manager prepares temperature status records with accurate timing. They can be evaluated on the PC for the purpose of system optimisation. |
