  EIB building control systems enables your house to adapt to the habits of its occupants in the best way possible: for example to their individual lighting needs. The atmosphere conveyed by certain lighting conditions is part of our quality of life. EIB building control systems let you choose lighting individually to harmonise with particular situations: from bright lighting to local lighting for reading. By the push of a button different light sources can be switched on or off either separately or in groups. Thanks to switching/dimming actuators any combination of harmonised brightness steps can be defined and conveniently activated in a lighting setting.
In buildings equipped with tunnel boxes in the ceiling subsequent changes or expansion of the lighting system can be achieved at low cost.
Systematic Monitoring
The combination of motion detectors, window contacts, and cylinders of door locks provides comprehensive monitoring and access control to houses. If anybody approaches in the dark without permission, the lighting can be switched on automatically, and in addition a message can be transmitted by telephone.
For vacation periods and other periods of absence, you can conveniently prepare a simulation program by means of your Home Manager. This enables different operations, such as the automatic raising or lowering of blinds and shutters, or the on/off switching of lighting in the rooms at different times.
Status visualisation is another relevant feature for security. This allows you, for example, to check on the display of your Home Manager whether all windows as well as the garage are shut.
Optimised Heating and Ventilation
Sensors and actuators such as room thermostats, window contacts or radiator actuating drives, must be connected systematically for heating systems to run economically. Thanks to EIB different states and signals can be logically interconnected. If the window in a certain room is open, the radiator actuating drive will automatically shut the relevant valve. This type of control circuit can also take into account the level of sunlight available in addition to the outside temperature. In this way, time and utilisation profiles can be taken as a basis to ensure individualised heating of rooms.

Increased Comfort
EIB building control systems permit the implementation of a wide variety of functions in perfect harmony with the habits of the individual occupants of a house. In addition to individualised heating profiles or lighting settings, it is also possible to activate pre-defined operations by remote control.
Pre-Heat your Sauna via Telephone?
No Problem.
You can start pre-heating your sauna by telephone, simply by entering a code, while you are still on your way home.
Communication in the opposite direction is also possible, enabling the Home Manager to transmit error messages to a mobile phone by SMS. For instance, while you are on a trip these error messages (as defined by the user) can be transmitted directly to a service company. Remote maintenance and remote diagnosis enable relevant information on equipment status or any system component to be transmitted in advance, thus allowing corrective action to be taken in good time if required.
